Youth Development Programs
Mental Fitness Program
The SB Wellness Foundation’s 16-week mental health curriculum for high school students is a comprehensive program designed to promote psychological well-being, resilience, and stress management. Delivered through 1.5 hour weekly sessions led by a licensed therapist, the curriculum uses evidence-based techniques like mindfulness, deep breathing, and cognitive restructuring to equip students with practical tools for emotional regulation and goal setting. It emphasizes inclusivity, addressing systemic challenges such as stigma and inequities faced by BIPOC and underserved communities. By fostering skills like assertive communication, self-compassion, and habit-building, the program empowers students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally, with adaptations to meet diverse cultural needs.

Leaders of Tomorrow:
Character Development Sessions:
Our organization hosts character development sessions with adolescents and young adults from various Middle, BIPOC High Schools and HBCUs, discussing Mental Health. The sessions aim to address the current stigma surrounding mental health among black adolescents, while creating a safe space for open dialogue. Students have the opportunity to learn best practices for navigating productive coping strategies such as cognitive behavioral therapy, peer group support, mindfulness, combating childhood trauma and more! These sessions take place upon booking.
Hosting such discussions and events help to raise awareness around mental health resources, prevent fear of seeking help in times of need, and increase overall understanding of the complex nature of what it means to be human, leading to more empathetic and supportive communities.
