“Our Minds Matter”
Our Minds Matter is an annual event series, initiated in 2023 to commemorate World Mental Health Day, with a focus on promoting BIPOC Mental Health Awareness. The theme this year is: “Suppressed pain to Empowerment: Healing Trauma Together”. The event includes live music, networking opportunities, and a panel discussion featuring professionals who provide evidence-based guidance and support. Additionally, an open forum enables attendees to pose questions and obtain tailored information to address their specific needs. The event has expanded to encompass a diverse array of health and wellness vendors offering complimentary services and expert insights. These events serve as a psychoeducational and networking platform designed to raise awareness about mental health among people of color. Its primary objectives include destigmatizing mental health challenges and offering resources to underprivileged communities.
